The Supreme Pupils Government (SPG) in public elementary schools of the Department of Education is the foremost co-curricular pupils organization authorized to implement pertinent programs, projects and activities mandated by the Department of Education.
Faculty , staff and outside concern should provide and support the advocacy of SPG for the welfare of the students. It embodies an enormous obligation to the school and also serves as official spokesperson of the pupils and represents them in all matters of their interest.
It should be transparent in all aspect to ensure proper governance and gain respect to the majority.
To foster leadership among the pupils of the school, Antonio M.Serapio Elementary School headed by our principal Mr. Roderick D. De Leon, faculty , staff and pupils support the advocacy of Supreme Pupils Government (SPG). AMSES held its SPG election last June 18-19,2016. The schools’ SPG advisers Miss Daisy Alanzalon and Mrs. Rosemary Tarzona served as chairmen with the help of Mrs. Sheena DeLa Cruz, Mrs. Jenifer Basco and Mrs. Sheryl Idjao. Before the election, one week campaign period was permitted for the two parties to present their platforms to their schoolmates. Induction of officers was held last July 4, 2016 with our principal , Mr. Roderick D. De Leon, the inducting officer. The elected officers were then immediately met by the SPG advisers to orient them with their duties and responsibilities. Several plans and projects were discussed and truly, they have shown interests and commitment in helping the school address issues and concerns regarding the welfare of their fellow pupils.
The organization aims to develop the involvement of pupils in shool activities. Several projects have already started such as cutting grasses, planting flowering plants around school campus, collecting trash papers in every classroom to gain funds as a source of project expenses, cleaning school lobby and corridors and cleaning the comfort rooms. Assigned pupils as officer of the day maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the school.
