This intervention tends to engage the skills of pupils mathematically. It advances young learners to think, analyze, and socialize while they are on their young age. Its objectives are to create learners who are actively participating in mathematics and to shape their minds on how to analyze problems; measure the ability on how to give approach on given problems and mathematical situations; and develop the ability to perceive the value of mathematical thinking and knowledge of how to apply mathematics to real-life situations.
The program was implemented by the help of the School Head, MTAP Coordinator, and MTAP Trainors to be successive on the following sessions by enhancing the capability of pupils through drills, motivations, discussions, evaluations, and cooperative learning. Using printed materials from the MTAP House the pupils were given enough time to understand and solve the following problems.
This intervention on mathematics is applicable for Grades 1-6 of level in the elementary grade. It is useful for the pupils and the trainors to have knowledge on how to deal with problems involving mathematics. It is also accessible for other pupils who are enrolled on private schools to attend and join the sessions.
The program runs only for 6 consecutive Saturdays and was only limited for those who have paid for the program.
The program was held at Antonio M. Serapio Elementary School with the running dates of July 23 to September 10, 2016. The third session was moved to date of August 20, 2016 instead of August 6 due to bad weather condition.
