As had been set by the Board of Directors, the oath taking ceremonies of the GPTA and the Homeroom PTA officers took place smoothly as planned.
The program hosted by Mr. Anthony Felipe started at 11am with the Welcome remarks of Mr. Roderick De Leon, principal, as soon as the guests from the City government of Valenzuela and Barangay Ugong took their seats in front of parents and spectators. The members of the Board were sworn in to assume their duties as directors and officers after the homeroom officers were likewise individually presented. City Vice Mayor Eric Martinez officiated the induction of Nic C. Escalante- President; Gaudencio G. Suerte-Vice President; Exerill T. Cruz-Secretary; Estrella H. Roldan-Treasurer;Chanda I. Torres- Auditor-;Renato L. Bacani-PIO and the Board of Directors. As guest speaker, Vice Mayor Eric made a run through on how AMSES took shape from the expropriation powers of the City government specifically vested upon the Sangguniang Panglungsod. As the head of the council, he accordingly considered the greater good of the majority over the pains and risk of effecting expropriation. Barangay Captain Ed Nazar of Ugong on the other hand, narrated the role of the Barangay council towards the achievement of the project now serving the surrounding communities. In closing, the President of the GPTA, Nic Escalante, presented the challenges confronting the association as a frontrunner in the physical improvement of the school. As the first official act of the Board, he read in passing two (2) Resolutions requesting the City government of Valenzuela for the erection of a covered court within the campus and a road right of way connecting Kabatuhan Compound to AMSES. Being so, he rallied the members and stressed the need for unity and participatory governance in accord to the goals and objectives of AMSES as an institution. The program adjourned at 12Pm after some announcements.
