School is not only a place for the learners to learn facts about their subjects and other disciplines but also a training ground or preparation for them outside— a place where pupils can hone their potentials and become productive citizens of the nation. This is what Antonio M. Serapio Elementary School (AMSES) envisions as they officially started the Club Grabbing Activity last Friday, June 29, 2018 where subject teachers and organization advisers prepared booths and activities to convince pupils to sign up and register and gain more members.
Due to this said activity, the corridors of the school building turned into a festival because of the grandeur and colorful decorations, spirited music and the resounding laughter of the pupils as they walk through and choose and grab the club where they wanted to be part of, making this activity a historic one.
Pupils have a lot of clubs to choose, from academics to recreational. Pupils’ choice on clubs varies depending on what they interested them the most, who are they with, and what they lack and needs improvement of.
The aim and mission of this activity is to instill to them, the pupils, as early on the sense of responsibility of being a leader and a follower, as well as the sense of integrity and belongingness. AMSES believes that these attributes that they could get from the clubs they signed up with shall be a great training ground for who and what they will be in the future—could it be a good leader or a good follower and all these are believed to be beneficial for them.
The institution is looking forward on what lies ahead for each and every pupils, the facilitators and the whole institution in general.
